We had been training for months and findly the cross country had arrived. I was so nervous because i thought I was going to lose.
When mrs Jarman took us to the start line i was feared with butterflies and mr burt said ,on your marks get set go, and I ran with lots of joy.
When I was running the mud was so slippery and slimy. The mud went up my legs and it was so gross. When I was running I was going to stop put i told myself keep on running keep on running.
When I was running I stop because i was so exhausted but then i didn’t give up so i kept on running. I tried to catch up to the girl in front of me and her name was nikki. But i didn't because she was too fast for me.

Your story about the Cross Country reminded me about going on my Cross Country run when i was a young girl at school in a place called Huntly. We had to run past the Waikato River and there were lots of eels lying on the side of the River as there had been a big flood a week before the Cross Country. So we had to run past the eels and sometimes we had to jump over them. It wasn't very nice, but it is a long lasting memory. It was nearly 40 years ago.
