Did you know that the seven stars helped our ancestors long time ago. There are about 500 star but you can only see the 7 star the brightest. The seven stars name is Waiti Waita Tupu-a-nuku Tupu-a-rangi Waipuna-a-rangi Ururangi Matariki. early in the morning matariki stars starts to shine up in the sky but you can't see it that much. When the maori people see the seven stars it means to them that it is going to be a warm winter.

In traditional times, Matariki was a season to celebrate and to prepare the ground for the coming year. The constellation was important for navigation and finding out about the coming seasons.

When we celebrate we go out to where you can see it the best but you have to wake up early so you do not miss it. You will have to wake up before 4:00am. That is why you need to put your alarm clock on if you have a celebration you normally have a big nice hungi. People that are in a community get together and look art it together.

how to make a chocolate cake

In the weekend Me and my sister was making a chocolate cake If you want to know the recipe Here it is
First you need sugar and butter so you put the sugar and butter in the bowl and mix it all together.
Then you get 6 eggs and then crack them in the bowl and mix it all together.
Next you need flour then you mix it again
Then you need baking powder then do the same thing mix it
after that you put coco in it so it looks like chocolate then mix it
Then you put it in the oven for like an 2min

My made up story

one day there was a girl name Rosie she love to bake with her mum. So her mum told her to go to the shops to buy eggs and milk so her mum gave her 10 dollars. So Rosie went to the shops and brought the eggs and milk.

When Rosie came out of the shops she was swing to plastic bag  around and around. Then she felt something tripping out of the bag Then she looked inside and it was the milk and it had prod out. She put the eggs down to throw the milk away then she went home and her mum said where is the milk and eggs. She was so scared she thought she was going to get big trouble. Then when her mum said eggs she knew that she forgot the eggs on the ground.

Rosie said to her mum that a boy called jack grabbed the milk and smashed  the milk on the ground. Then her mum said what about the eegs and then Rosie said he grabbed the packet and ran home with it. Mum was so mad that a boy did that to Rosie. Then her mum said where does he live and Rosie said around the corner. So her mum went to his house.

She found his house and she knocked on their door and Jack mum open the door and said how can I help you and Rosie mum said your son Jack had smashed my milk and sole all of my eggs. Jack mum said Jack get out here so Jack came and Jack mum said did you smashed their milk and sell their eggs and jack so no. Rosie mum looked at her and Rosie was so scared. When they got home Rosie mum got mad at Rosie and Rosie said sorry for lying.

Rosie mum said it is all right know me and you will got to the shops and rosie said ok. So they went to the shop and bought eggs and milk. So they went back home and made a yummy chocolate cake.

My made up story

One cold morning there was a man called jack he was on a plane then it broke down and he got stuck in the coldest driest on earth it  was antarctica. When it broke down  he fell on a ice and he was trying to walk but he couldn't because the strong wind blow and blow and blow him . Then when the wind blow him he rolled in a big cage.  

Jack was so scared because heard the wind blowing the water.  He went to see if it was the wind But it was not the wind it was a killer whale trying  to push the seal of the ice bregg. Then he heard author stopping sound then he went to see and it was a polar bear and then he was so so so scared because he thought that the polar bear was going to kill him  and then he saw a sharp sick then he went to strap the polar 4 times. then he noticed that the mother bear was or ready hurt then he was so sad that he did that to the polar bear.

So he decided to bury the polar bear in the ice so he started to dig dig dig until it was deep enough for the polar bear when it was deep gapped the polar bear and put it in the deep hole then he cared the polar bear with ice. Then he look on his hand and he saw blood on him so he knew that the ice was water. So he gaped some ice and rubbed it in so the blood can come of.
